EDITORIAL

2024 begins with a paradox: 2023 marked the warmest year on record, compelling companies and investors even more to accelerate decarbonization and the just transition. Surprisingly, it's geopolitics, not regulations or customer pressure, that will drive action in 2024.

Geopolitics will significantly impact strategic decisions:

2024's watchword isn't wait-and-see or acceleration but common sense. Priorities include cost reduction, uncertainty minimization, stakeholder loyalty, and innovation. Efforts can be termed "accelerated decarbonization" or "human rights approach rooted in organizational reality," involving transparent, compliant, and reliable supply chains with data-driven results for EU’s CS3D.

And while these efforts can take many forms, Ksapa, a mission-driven company, remains no less than a central partner in 2024. Our experts, networks, tools, and global programs contribute to meaningful change. Continuing collaboration with Ksapa, especially in uncertain times, means focusing on critical environmental and social issues for impactful efforts and investments.

Happy New Year, and we look forward to hearing from you again soon!
