Ksapa is looking to recruit a motivated Carbon & Impact  Officer for an initial part-time short-term contract (until April 2026) – extendable in a permanent contract afterwards.

COMPANY BACKGROUND

Ksapa is a French mission-driven company whose purpose is to act as a catalyst of a fair and efficient transition. Ksapa provides 3 intertwined activities for impact:

Ksapa brings together multi-dimensional skills (sustainability, agronomy, finance, rural development, digital …) and cross-sectoral expertise within its core team and its network to develop scalable, operational and innovative solutions.

In particular, Ksapa developed the SUTTI initiative – Scale Up Training Traceability Impact – to transform the first mile of agricultural chains, assisting farmers all along the journey and strengthening agricultural value chains at the same time.

Through SUTTI, Ksapa works with corporates, financial institutions, public authorities, development institutions, civil society, and academia to align business models with current social and environmental stakes.

To date, Ksapa has developed & implemented several agricultural transition programs on several value chains including natural rubber, coconut, rice, or cocoa in multiple countries in Asia & Africa.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Ksapa is supporting a large international food & beverage corporate active in the Philippines, which has pledged to achieve Net Zero GHG Emissions by 2050 by implementing climate actions to achieve GHG Reductions or Removals, in particular on the supply of coconut products sourced from the Philippines.

This project adopts a value-chain approach whereby Ksapa has been working with the corporate as well as its local suppliers of coconut products (desiccated coconut) based in Quezon Province (Bondoc Peninsula) in the Philippines and procuring coconut copra from smallholder farmers.

Building on their respective agenda, partners have entered into a partnership for the development of an agroforestry project to support coconut farmers towards regenerative agriculture & climate action combined with high social impact. The aim of this partnership is to design, pilot, and scale a program with multiple objectives:

  • Generate GHG emissions reductions & removals (to be certified under international voluntary carbon standard)
