The Low-Down on Training Vulnerable Workers

When businesses consider the issue of worker engagement, they logically start with their own employees. Yet credible worker engagement programs demand a value chain approach. In other words, that companies target their suppliers’ workers (and those employed by their suppliers’ suppliers) in their training and communications programs. 

The difficulty of implementing effective training and communications programs lies therein:  the most vulnerable groups are hardest to reach.  Addressing their specific needs requires additional effort on a company’s part, both to engage them and then to adapt to vulnerable group’s daily circumstances.
